Questions for the Guild Wars experts - Guild Wars Forums

Hello all as I am relatively new I have some questions for the Guild Wars experts.

What are the differences between a hero which costs 3000 and a hero which costs 6000?

I am currently finishing up with the nightfall campaign and I recently purchased EOTN and was wondering where to go to get to these areas?

ok, the heroes are different classes, thats about the only difference (and the quest to get Razah the rit is kinda hard and you need to have completed nightfall before you get it).
There are new heroes in eye, you will get the first three (gwen, vekk and ogden) when you get thru the first part (vekk and ogden at boreal station, gwen in the eye outpost--hall of monuments)....the other eye heroes you will get thru different parts of the story.
Anton and Pyre are in the ebon part, Kahmu, Xandra and Jora are in the Norn part, Hayda and Livia are in the asuran part).

Now the cost is for unlocking them for pvp....you wont get to use them on pve characters by unlocking them that way.

To get to eye you go to Kamadan, if you are level 20 you will get an annoying notice that to 'access eye of the north' talk to Bendah....take the quest....

I am still on the island where u begin. i have done three missions. i want to do the docks mission but there is no option that says enter mission. i did get a run to the docks. what do i have to do to do the mish. there arnt anymore primary quests that are on the island. Please help me.

You have to get through the questline that leads to 'The Time is Nigh'.

In NF, unlike the other campaigns, there isn't an "enter mission" button. Instead, you have to talk to the NPC there with a green sword symbol over his head to enter the mission.

The difference in price between unlocking them for PvP is because the cheaper heros are aquired earlier in the PvE game.

That's because you haven't completed the quest arc to get the mission - you got a taxi to the docks. There is one stage where you have to achieve a certain lvl of sunspear rank/character level to progress (and nothing shows in your primary quest slot in your log) - check and see if that is where you are now by following the link provided by WLlama.

the "taxi" is to get max armor. to actually do the mission,

Don't get runs - in both Factions and Nightfall they are mostly worthless.

Runs in Factions are only to areas you can easily get to yourself (read - they are scams) and runs in Nightfall are only to get to the armor crafters early. The only exceptions are paying for someone to run a mission for you. However that currently mostly ends up being you do all the work while someone you pay tells you what to do, make sure you are getting an actual "run" and not hiring a mercenary.

Not only is "play the game" good advice in general, it is the *only* way to progress in Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. So , enjoy your waste of gold, that green exclamation point isn't going to appear until you legitimately got there anyway

At least you can get your max armor if you can afford it, but most likely you can not due to the question you asked.

Feel free to blame Anet - most that get caught in it do. However next time before you purchase something from another player make sure you are getting what you think you are.
